Grant Napear was a play by play announcer for KHTK station. In response to DeMarcus Cousins question about BLM, Napear tweeted “All Lives Matter… Every Single One!” A strong public outcry ensued.
Napear quickly offered a formal apology on Twitter.
“If it came across as dumb I apologize. That was not my intent. That’s how I was raised. It has been ingrained in me since I can remember. I’ve been doing more listening than talking the past few days. I believe the past few days will change this country for the better!”

Napear’s apology or decades at the station were enough to keep his job. Bonneville International, who owns the radio station, put out a press release stating
“The timing of Grant’s tweet was particularly insensitive,””After reviewing the matter carefully, we have made the difficult decision to part ways with Grant.”

Recently, a Go Fund Me campaign has raised around $100,000 to form a legal defense for Napear. Jason Anderson, the journalist who broke the story, asked Napear about future litigation, Napear stated, “I can’t speak about what I’m doing right now,”
Someone started a $100,000 Go Fund Me campaign to create a legal defense fund for Grant Napear. Earlier this week, I asked Napear if he planned to take legal action against the Kings or KHTK. "I can't speak about what I'm doing right now," he said.https://t.co/gJ3vkgbs8K
